Privacy Policy Concerning Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Comments on this site are moderated to protect our readers from spam or phishing. Links to your own site or social media pages are okay, but links that appear to be nefarious will keep a comment from being approved. Also comments that are obviously spammy (trying to sell my readers something that is not pertaining to the content of the page or that is in direct competition with my page) will not be approved. Please allow up to 24 hours for the comment approval process. I try to get to them as quickly as possible, but I cannot access my site while at work.
Our priority is to make it easy to participate in the conversations on our website, while also protecting the data of our commenters, and also protecting our readers from spam or phishing schemes.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Some pages on this website may include affiliate links and content. If you click on an affiliate link, the site will create a cookie that helps them to track where the referral came from. If you purchase something after clicking my referral link, I may earn a small commission. The cookies will expire after a period of time designated by the affiliate host. The cookie for the Amazon Associates program, for example, lasts 24-hours, while the cookie for Etsy lasts 30-days. Read our About Us page to find out more about our Affiliate Journey.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
