Jean and Nancy are the mother-daughter team behind the woman-owned Bears Bears Bears (also known as Bears3, or B3). Jean (mom) has been making bears for more than 40 years. However, the mother-daughter duo officially opened their doors for business in October of 2022, with technical assistance from Nancy’s husband. B3 is based in the Carolinas. They specialize in creating one-of-a-kind handmade teddy bears. (So, if you see one you love, you better snatch it up while it’s available!)
B3 creates whimsical handcrafted teddy bears out of fun printed fabric for all ages!
To create their bears, they use fun, printed fabrics that they hope will speak to you and want to make a bear your own. Jean and Nancy craft their bears from cotton or cotton blend fabric. They stuff their bears with poly fiberfill, creating a soft, huggable friend and confidant. Button joints allow for moveable arms and legs and add a unique style to every bear.

Inspiration Behind their Cuddly Teddy Bears
Jean began making her bears 40 years ago as gifts for family and friends. According to Nancy, “They were adored and cherished. Coming out of the pandemic, we realized that most people could use a friend in the form of a bear.” When Nancy relocating to the area, she wanted to spend time with her Mama. So, she learned bear craft, and the rest is, as they say, history!

How to Purchase Your Own Teddy Bears
You can purchase your unique bear by contacting Nancy and Jean directly through their Facebook page or by browsing their Etsy shop. They also sell their bears at markets, so if you’re in the Carolinas, be sure to watch out for them.
A Day in the Life
As you can imagine, Nancy and Jean devote many of their days to making their beloved bears. Other days are set aside for packaging and shipping. Some days are all about the “backend items.” They spend these days adding items to their Etsy shop, updating spread sheets, responding to inquiries, planning social media posts, setting goals, and brainstorming new ideas.
Their advice to others who are considering launching a small business in their niche (handcrafted stuffed animals) is to “be prepared to find the thing that will make you unique, and be prepared to devote a lot of time to it!”
A Message for Our Customers
Jean and Nancy would like their customers and potential customers to know that “bears are for everyone, for any reason. They are a source of comfort and emotional support in addition to being a beloved stuffed toy.”
